A Little Bit About Me!

Hi, my name is Kathryn Hecker. I live in a small town in New Hampshire where I have raised a wonderful family. I have a great husband, 1 grown daughter,
1 son and 2 granddaughters with another on the way!  ...Oh, and two dogs and 2 cats!

I've had an ongoing love affair with sewing since I was in elementary school. Over the years I've tried almost every craft out there, especially needle crafts. Knitting, crocheting and embroidery are among my passions, but more than anything I love hand stitching. My desire to find something that I could turn into a profitable business finally blossomed in the form of my whimsical penny rugs. I started selling my completed designs on Ebay, but found it hard to keep up with the demand. Then after many requests for patterns I decided to give that a try. That's when Penny Lane Primitives was born! I love creating new designs and have no intention of stopping any time soon!
I recently retired from my job in an elementary school here in town after 21 years
and I'm happy to spend all of my free time designing.

The housework can certainly wait!
